Entertainment Assist

Arts on Tour NSW

Arts on Tour (AOT) is a performing arts touring service organisation based on Gadigal land. AOT primarily works with NSW-based artists and organisations to develop and deliver a diverse national Touring Program of new Australian work including theatre, dance, circus and work for young people. In addition, AOT runs an annual Sector Development Program that offers capacity building and best practice initiatives, networking events and free resources, including Green Touring, Backroads, Tour Lab and Salon, to support a connected, diverse and sustainable touring sector.

Ausdance ACT

Ausdance ACT is the peak body for dance in the Australian Capital Territory. They provide high-quality, accessible and diverse dance programs for dance makers, educators, performers and audiences. They are membership-based and work closely with the Ausdance National board on advocacy and initiatives for the dance sector. Free information and guides are available on their website including safe dance guidelines and the Code of Ethics. Ausdance ACT is a not-for-profit organisation that contributes to the ongoing development and promotion of dance in the region.

Ausdance National

Ausdance National is Australia’s peak body for dance. They have a long history of advocating for the dance community. They support the industry through partnerships and collaborations, and delivers innovative, accessible and inclusive programs as part of a national network. It's free to sign up to access articles. Other services and resources are available for a fee.

Ausdance Queensland

Ausdance Queensland is the peak industry association for all dance in Queensland. It is part of the Ausdance national network. Prioritising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and Communities, Ausdance QLD work to improve dance accessibility,  inclusivity and diversity through professional development, resources, training and business advisory services. They provide advocacy and leadership for the Queensland dance sector, drives sector development, capability and sustainability. Members are individuals, small businesses, companies, organisations, schools and institutions and have access to paid and free services/resources.

Ausdance SA

Ausdance SA is a membership-based organisation that provides resources, advice, advocacy, education and professional development for dance artists, practitioners and enthusiasts throughout South Australia. They offer the Dance Directory for dance teachers, choreographers, mentors and dance artists to connect, and the Choreolab for emerging choreographers to showcase they work in a professional environment.

Ausdance VIC

Ausdance VIC is the peak body for dance in Victoria. They are Australia’s leading dance-specialist Registered Training Organisation (RTO). They offer training opportunities and professional and workforce development to paying members. They also consult on dance curriculum reform and deliver dance education programs to schools. Ausdance VIC represent the interests of independent dance artists and teachers, companies and ensembles, the education sector, dance studios and the community.

Ausdance WA

Ausdance WA is a member-driven organisation supporting and advocating for the dance sector in Western Australia. They provide leadership, education, resources and sector development, and work to build industry capacity and audiences. Free fact sheets are available on their website including safety guidelines and the Code of Ethics. With state government support, they are also working to address the evolving needs of the local dance community.

Australian Copyright Council

The Australian Copyright Council (ACC) provides expert advice, training, and free information on Australian copyright law. Representing over a million creators, the ACC fosters collaboration between artists of all art forms and consumers, offering resources to help navigate copyright issues.

Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare

The Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare is the peak body in Australia advocating for optimal health and wellbeing in the performing arts. They provide guides on topics such as injury care, psychological wellbeing and informative interviews with health practitioners.

BlakDance

BlakDance is a national industry organisation for First Nation contemporary dancers and choreographers. They are a self-determined, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation. They engage with contemporary First Nations dancers, choreographers, small-to-medium companies, their communities and arts industry partners through events, performances, gatherings and programs.

Dancers Australia

Dancers Australia is the union for professional dance workers in Australia. It is led by the Dancers Australia National Committee - a group of committed dancers, dance teachers, and choreographers from across the country who are pushing for fair wages and safe workplaces for all dance professionals. Dancers Australia is part of the Media, Entertainment, and Arts Alliance (MEAA) - the national union of Australia's creative professionals.

Entertainment Assist

Entertainment Assist is a national health promotion charity that raises awareness about mental health and wellbeing in the Australian entertainment industry through research, education and training initiatives and promote these resources as widely as possible through entertainment workplaces. Entertainment Assist is for everyone working in the Australian performing arts and entertainment industry including performers, support workers, crew and technicians.

Live Performance Australia

Live Performance Australia (LPA) is the peak body for Australia's live arts and entertainment industry. LPA provides a range of services, including workplace relations support, advice on pay and employment conditions, and help with Fair Work Commission matters. Free downloadable resources are available to everyone, such as the Code of Practice. Further templates, factsheets and specialised information is only available to paying members.

Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance

Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) is Australia's largest union for creative professionals. MEAA primarily serves the TV, theatre, film, journalism and entertainment industries. They offer free resources on workplace rights and contracts, and publish industry rate trackers on their website. MEAA mostly works on a paid membership basis offering various benefits and services to members.

NAISDA Dance College

NAISDA Dance College is Australia's leading arts training organisation, offering nationally accredited qualifications for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.  They offer paid professional dance training delivered by experienced trainers from diverse Indigenous communities. Training is free for young people from remote, regional, and urban communities across Australia.
